And that’s not the only instance in which the museum retroactively justifies the invasion of Iraq, which was deemed to be illegal by United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan, and led to the deaths of 200,000 Iraqi civilians. And in another video former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice defends the Bush administration’s use of torture by stating, “If you were in a position of authority on September 11th, every day after was September 12th.” There’s also a replica of the White House Situation Room where, at one point, the museum planned to have kids roleplay events such as “September 11th and the attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan.” The George W. Bush-themed shop hawks baseballs, playing cards and whiskey glasses — the latter seems like an odd souvenir to get at a museum dedicated to a guy who famously had a severe drinking problem and was once arrested for driving under the influence.
