Governor Tina Kotek is calling for a special session next month to try to figure something else out, and based on what I know from having several teachers in my life, good luck with the morale of bringing in a bunch of public servants who were supposed to have time off. This story is so scary: a man with a hatchet attacked a security guard at the Mall 205 Target on Monday and they had to evacuate the store and then coax the man out. This OregonLive story on the removal does not have a ton of information on the project, so if one were to assume that the pedestrian bridge is being replaced with a human catapult, well, who's to say we're wrong?
