The Communications Minister said he was given an update of all 47 ships and 34 Malaysians in the mission by the Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organisations chief executive officer Datuk Dr Sani Araby Abdul Alim Araby at the Sumud Nusantara operations centre here on Sunday (Sept 28). Fahmi said the government, through the Foreign Ministry, is constantly monitoring the mission's progress to ensure the safety of all Malaysians involved. The GSF's voyage across the Mediterranean Sea is to bring food supplies, medicine and a message of peace urging that war and the famine crisis stop, in addition to demanding the opening of a humanitarian corridor to Gaza.
