As with events like the Streamer Awards and Kai Cenat‘s Streamer University, FunnyMike’s party gave viewers the chance to enjoy the interwoven storylines and relationships that define the culture of platforms like Twitch. The romance proved so enrapturing that it drew the attention of NBA star Kyrie Irving and even distracted Hasan Piker from his coverage of the war in the Middle East.
