While tens of thousands of people crowded into Kings Park for the dawn service, thousands more lined Perth’s St Georges Terrace to watch the Anzac Day march later in the morning as veterans and service personnel marched in honour of the nation’s war dead. It appears the writing's on the wall in the WA town of Beverley, located in the newly created electorate Bullwinkel which encompasses Perth's eastern fringes and farming areas in the Wheatbelt region. Reporter Samantha Goerling wanted to photograph Ms Bollard at eye level and looking directly at the viewer with the backdrop of the window and door, given the seriousness of a situation in which Ms Bollard said she felt caught in the middle of a business transaction.
