Ari Fleischer, former press secretary for President George W. Bush, on Sunday called conservative commentator Tucker Carlson a “phony” for accusing the Trump administration of being “complicit in the act of war” in supporting Israel in its conflict with Iran. On Sunday, Mr. Fleischer’s post on social media included a video clip from 2006, when Mr. Carlson criticized antisemitism in Iran and said Iran should be given two options: “You either stop the nuclear program or we will bring down an earthquake upon you using God’s wrath.” In the Israel case, you really do have a nation that is a Republic, they really were attacked unprovoked, they really are fighting an enemy that wants us dead too and is best described as “evil.” It’s the story of the boy that cried wolf.
