Other messages to rank-and-file workers in Spanish say that the Teamsters have their own agenda, highlighting the lockout and shuttering of the plant in Seattle, and telling workers to tell the union they want to accept the contract offer. In one instance, the company sent a text to members in Spanish saying that a bilingual union representative named Eduardo Soto from Teamsters Local 743 would talk to them about the final contract offer, and again repeated the possibility of the Chicago plant closing just like the one in Seattle.
