Del Toro came aboard in 2013 in a story that would follow John Constantine recruiting Swamp Thing, Madame Xanadu, Deadman and Zatanna to take on the villain, the Floronic Man. I knew I wanted Doug Jones to be Deadman, only because physically he could do the suit, and I knew his mannerisms. Del Toro also spoke about his favourite video games of all time in the interview, name-checking “BioShock,” “Death Stranding,” “Metal Gear Solid,” “Shadow of the Colossus,” “Left 4 Dead,” “Red Dead Redemption”, and “God of War”.
