Conversation and camaraderie 'at the heart' of this bush retreat


The men, who are veterans and mates, are at a bush retreat to help shed the weight of past traumas from their shoulders. The retreat was founded in 1997 when a group of Vietnam veterans in central Queensland wanted a place in the bush where they could find a listening ear when things got tough. The land came from the late Bruce Acutt, who sectioned off a 1-hectare parcel of his property for the idea, after spending much of his psychology career helping war veterans.
