Assassin’s Creed is based on the massively popular video game franchise from Ubisoft, and the series marks the first project to emerge from Netflix and Ubisoft’s partnership announced back in 2020. The official logline reads: “The series will be ‘centered on the secret war between two shadowy factions — one set on determining mankind’s future through control and manipulation, while the other fights to preserve free will. The Assassin’s Creed franchise dates back to 2007, when the first game introduced players to the centuries-long conflict between the Assassins and the Templars.
