While the sequel's opening surpassed Moana 2's record, it also passed the global debut of Ne Zha 2, which previously set the record earlier this year with $431.2 million. Even Fire and Ash may struggle to beat the animated film's global total if it fails to repeat the box office dominance of the first two films. Zootopia has now established itself as one of the biggest animated franchises of all time and Zootopia 3 is likely on the way after the sequel's incredible performance.
