Addressing the gathering, BJP state general secretary Tadar Niglar said the plantation drive marked the first in a series of events to be held at the mandal, district, and state levels. Niglar also referred to the latest International Monetary Fund (IMF) report, which revised India’s GDP growth forecast upward to 6.4% for both FY 2026 and FY 2027, and said even the recently imposed 50% US tariff would not affect the country’s growth momentum. According to the statement, these activities aim to preserve heritage, protect the environment, and honour the sacrifices of the nation’s freedom fighters.
