Almost 100 days in, polls find that a majority of Americans think the economy is getting worse under Trump


In the latest Washington Post-Ipsos survey, conducted from April 18 through April 22, Trump had a 39% approval rating on the economy, with 61% of adults disapproving of the president's performance on the key issue. When asked about the recent volatility in the stock market, adults by a more than 2-to-1 margin (67% to 31%) disapproved of Trump's handling of the issue. In the latest New York Times/Siena College survey, which was also conducted in late April, 50% of registered voters said Trump has made the economy worse, while 21% of respondents said he's made it better.
