With only a few upcoming Star Wars titles, if audiences want to see any of the surviving characters, they’ll have to settle for them appearing in the New Republic Era, well after the events of the Galactic Civil War. It’s believed that Dave Filoni’s still-untitled movie will see Grand Admiral Thrawn as the big bad, and having Kleya be a key strategic force to once and for all defeat the Empire she fought against for so long would be vindicating. The film is set to take place squarely during Mon Mothma’s time as chancellor, and considering Din Djarin will be working (and seemingly causing some problems) for the New Republic, it’s not so far-fetched that Mothma will be there either to discipline or do damage control.
