Airlines are starting to cancel flights as they face jet fuel shortages and rising prices brought on by the Iran war


Argus Media, a data analytics company for the energy industry, said in a report this week that "the UK is the most exposed country in Europe to tightening diesel and jet fuel supply." A spokesperson for Scandinavian Airlines said it would cut about 1,000 flights due to the surge in jet fuel costs, The Wall Street Journal reported. The spokesperson said most of the canceled flights were on short-haul routes in the Nordic region, and that they chose airports with multiple flights a day.
