The murder motive was robbery of the victim's gold ornaments, informed the police.PI Milind Khopade of Raigad LCB informed that, the murder victim has been identified as Manda Pramod Mhatre, who was residing alone in Tekalkar village in Alibaug taluka. As her gold ornaments were missing, the murder motive was suspected to be robbery.Using technical expertise, the key suspect, the victim's son-in-law identified as Mahadev Dhobale (25), hailing from Pathardi in Ahilyanagar district was zeroed-in, as there was a family dispute as his estranged wife resided in Pune. The robbed gold ornaments of the victim is yet to be recovered for which the police custody remand of the arrested accused will be sought after producing them before the court."
