Cinderella was the second full-length princess tale, after Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and the first feature-length film since the end of World War II. Out of all of the animations created during Walt Disney's life, there was one scene that would stay with him forever: the scene where the fairy godmother transforms Cinderella’s torn pink dress into a glittery ball gown. It is listed as one of the best animated films of all time by the American Film Institute, and it was added to the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress for being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”
