Many of these heroes need the right lens cast on them, and many times, a reboot is the perfect way to make that happen. Time moves more slowly in the Marvel Universe, so a couple of years of Mayor Luke Cage in the real world is only a fraction of that time in the comics. He's a character tailor-made for a leading role and a place among Marvel's most influential characters, whether he's acting as a hero or a villain.
